In the City | Hinsdale Photographer
So my photography career started with this family right here 16 years ago! Granted, this session is three years old (yes, I suck at staying on top of blogging). But when you photograph a family every single year and don’t want to duplicate past images, its a game of “where have we not gone”? For this year, it was urban, which I have to say, really works well for a lot of families in providing something outside of just “nature”. And I always love including dogs in family pictures. I’m such a dog lover, that it makes my day!
We didn’t include their dog with every image, so on the ones where she wasn’t included, I had her leash in my hands as well as my camera, which proved to be quite the challenge as she pulled to go back and join them. LOL I really like the neutral colors of the background. It allows clients to wear any colors, because everything goes well here.
I think this may actually be my favorite of the family pictures. I love the different textures on this particular brick wall. When planning your family pictures, lots of people want to capture fall foliage, but there are no guarantees with colors or even how quickly we lose the leaves. So if we’ve lost all the leaves, having a setting that doesn’t matter about any of that is great! This location looks good pretty much all year round.
It is so crazy to look back at these pictures, because these kids have grown up so much in three years! I’m actually going to be photographing them again in just a couple of weeks!
Getting individual pictures of each kid, I try to get similar ones in each setup, so that if a client wants them on the wall, they all “go” together.
And then with the eldest child, the girl who launched my career when I did her newborn pictures… You can tell who the teen was. lol
If you are wanting to still schedule your fall sessions, you better contact us quickly! And if a full session is just too much, we are also offering our Fall Colors mini sessions, as well as our two holiday minis. You can find more information about them HERE.
