Little Family | Naperville Photographer

What is totally crazy, is that since the time of this session, this little family has grown with two more daughters! I love being their Naperville family photographer, though it would be great to get them in warmer weather. Let’s go back to this time with their first daughter – a happy little family were they.

I do tend to like darker images in studio, so I was more than happy when the mom told me she definitely preferred shadowy and darker images in studio. Perfect for me.

And since it was also the holiday season, we put together one Christmas set for a few pictures, especially to send out for their first Christmas cards as a new family.

Even though it was late in the year, it was a sunny day. Warm enough to head down the block to the riverwalk. As long as we kept the baby in her coat, she was more than happy to be out and about. Being able to walk to the riverwalk and many great settings from the studio is great to offer both studio and outdoors in the same session.

It doesn’t take much to make a baby this age smile, and it certainly makes my day to play with them.

This year, I haven’t been able to go outside as much this winter, as we’ve been pretty cold. But that doesn’t mean we can’t do snow sessions if you don’t want to be in studio. You can see that the little one was starting to get tired by the end. I try to keep baby sessions about 45 minutes, as they can’t handle too much more than that.

Any time of year works for pictures. And babies usually stay in studio, so it is always a good time for baby sessions! If you are looking for the right photographer for your family, we hope you check out more of our work.
