Naperville Photographer | Cutie
Baby, oh baby! Okay, granted, this baby girl isn’t “technically” a baby, but she was close enough! It was a hot and sunny day. Soooo hot and sunny, and mid day, which isn’t a great time to shoot. If you want to know why photographers like late afternoons, it is because we love weaker sunlight, which is when the sun is lower in the sky. That doesn’t mean that we can’t do mid-day, it is simply just never my preference. But that’s why I bring lights. It lets me still rock a session.
And when we are doing a session for little ones, we have to prioritize the time of day that they are at their best. We don’t want cranky kiddos, as no magic editing can fix that! LOL When taking pictures of toddlers, I love taking them to a place where they can safely explore.
This was all done just down the street from my studio along the Naperville Riverwalk.
A toddler’s life is full of wonder, and all I have to do is be a witness to their discovery of the world around them. Toddlers are such a delight – big eyes and big hearts.
The little outdoor stage area along the riverwalk makes for the perfect steps for a little one to cruise along. I normally don’t’ like this spot because the sun is just not in a good place, but we found a little spot of shade to make it work out all right. And of course I just hate having to play little games to make them laugh and smile. Such a rough job I have!
Just because my studio is located in downtown Naperville doesn’t mean I only photograph there. I knows spots all over the western suburbs and welcome going to new places, too.
