Baby Boy | Naperville baby photographer

Part of being a Naperville newborn photographer is getting the pleasure of watching families grow. When families find me with their first baby, I usually get to be part of the second, and third, etc. So when this family called me up to tell me they had another baby for me, I was thrilled.  But I was super excited for them because after three girls, they had a son!

When I do newborn sessions, I always start with family pictures. And when you have three big sisters, it was a fight over who would hold him. I’m sure this little guy is well mothered! LOL I had a concept I wanted to try with them, and it turned out perfectly! It is so perfect, I made it part of my Galleries to show potential clients. I love everything about it.

 

I was definitely in a brown and taupe mood with this newborn, apparently. I have this wooden heart bowl and wooden heart. It was great to use all these different textures to help create a beautiful image for them. Our little baby boy was wide awake for part of the session, but he was chill and just stared with those great big, dark eyes.

 

And while props and outfits are super cute, nothing is better than just the baby, in my opinion. I love the creaminess of this blanket, as it sets of the simplicity of the newborn babe, so that we focus on just him.

 

That being said, I’m a sucker for cool bowls and baskets and thing for babies to lay in. I particularly love to shoo from above like this.  Again, I was digging the brown, but at least there were some black feathers to break it up. Yes, feather may not be a typical thing in a newborn session, but why not? I love the richness of them.

 

I have a whole tub of newborn clothes for clients to use if they like. This little hat and suspender set is super cute.  The little man was taking a break from being so cute. It is so hard to be a model, right? He looks like he is taking a nap after delivering his newspapers. lol
