En Garde | Chicago Senior Photographer

I’m always amazed and humbled when people travel to hire me. It seems to happen for senior sessions more than anything else.  I had photographed his family years and year ago, but they had stayed fans of my work and wanted to come see me for their senior pictures. I love being a Chicago senior photographer because there are so many suburbs in the metro area, and if you are a Chicagoan, you tend to not mind driving an hour to get somewhere. 😉

I hadn’t seen this young man since he was around 8 or 10, so I didn’t even recognize him!!  He was such a nice guy.

 

Moms tend to ask what their senior boys should wear for this pictures. Always at least two outfits. And I love it when they wear a suit! You get the variety of with and without the jacket. And I love that he had a bit of color with that lavender.

 

Then he changed into a more casual outfit, and we moved to another spot. We were going for our urban location which offers a lot of variety and is great for a casual but cool senior.

 

I absolutely LOVE a great close up picture!!  I’m currently planning my own son’s senior pictures, and you can bet I will be sure to try to get some great ones like this.

 

If you follow my work, you know I rock athletes.  I love challenging myself to create new and exciting sportraits. This was my very first time photographing a fencing student!  How cool is it that his high school has a fencing team?! I’m jealous!
