Naperville Newborn Photography

My list of “need to blog” sessions is getting longer, not shorter!  How did I get so far behind?  Let’s get this sweet newborn baby brother up today.  I was thrilled to meet this family, as they were really awesome, but it also sucked because I won’t have them again, as they were moving out of state soon.  Of course, I told them to feel free to fly me out to the mountains of Colorado if they need to. LOL  Yes, I can easily do sessions if you pay the travel fees, especially when it is to one of my favorite places.

We started with some of the family and had to showcase this proud big sister.  He was wide awake for quite awhile.

It’s been a while since I got to use my dark brown blanket.  It’s always one I love, so I don’t know why I don’t use it more often.  I love this pose – it shows off his little foot and toes and creates a bit of fat rolls on his side.  Love them!

He was a big newborn, though he was also a bit old – I think he was a full three weeks old by the time I saw him.

Once he fell asleep, he was out, so we cruised and got lots of wonderful pictures of him being a sleepy babe.  This blue is so nice and bright. I love it against his creamy skin.

And he perfectly posed on his elbows for me.  Look at those chubby cheeks!

Then we got to use my little newborn hammock and dressed him in this cute pair of pants.  The hammock is a newer prop for me, and I love it paired with the wooden planks.

While this newborn was three weeks old and we rocked it, I still highly recommend having your newborn session as early as possible.  The younger they are, the more the like to curl up and the harder and deeper they sleep.
