Naperville Senior Photographer | Dramatic Seniors

When people choose their Naperville senior photographer, what do they look at?  For some, cost is the main factor.  For others, it is reputation.  And for others it is the work.  My goal is to attract people by my work.  Ideally, that is what makes you hire a photographer – when you look through their body of work and it speaks to you, draws you in.  There are so many different styles (and photographers), so spend the time to find the right one for you.  I will say that I tend to attract clients who love unique. dramatic, or storytelling images.  I love a challenge to create something truly outstanding.  So when this Naperville Central High School had her consultation and said she was all for dark drama, and that she played cello, I immediately had an image pop into my head (that’s how it goes with me).  When I told her my idea of having her in my uber long skirt with a corset top on a grand stair case with candles, she loved the idea!

I had so much fun working with this gorgeous young lady who wants to purse professional makeup after high school. I love this first image so much, it is now a large sample up in the studio.

 

And I love the drama of adding her cello.  We gathered a small audience while she played.

 

But putting her in the second story balcony while I was below her made for just an incredible moment – like she was performing for the masses.

 

 

 

After the dramatic images, it was time for an outfit change and a different feel.  She just couldn’t help but be beautiful.

 

How come something so simple as sitting on the ground made her look like a model?

 

It was getting late, and she changed some more time.  I loved the coat, and we went for something more playful.
