There are few times in life that you are keenly aware of life changing.  Usually, we can look back at defining moments, but rarely are we aware as they are happening.  Having a baby is one of those times.  There is clearly a before.  Before becoming parents.  Before knowing that abyss of love.  Before sleepless nights.  Before.

It is because of this pivotal time that I really cherish maternity photography.  There is something magical about it.  There is a sense of excitement with expecting parents, a little trepidation, perhaps.  All this waiting for what is still really unknown and unimaginable, no matter  how prepared they are.  How lucky am I that I get to photograph these moments right before their worlds will forever be changed?  And of course, I will photograph the After as well, but for now, enjoy this gorgeous couple as they await what will redefine their roles in life into parents.
