Yes, still catching up on my errant blogging!  I am usually so good about doing them rigs so ht away, but the busy season killed me, and then we had the holidays.  I hope you all had a wonderful holiday!  I have had the pleasure of photographing this family for the past three years.  I am always so honored when families travel to me from downtown Chicago.  You’d be surprised at how many clients I have that come to me from the city.

I love when families dress formally – it doesn’t seem to be the norm anymore, but I love it.  And I always have a thing for red.  I hadn’t used my window setting in a while, so decided to try that out with them, since it is basically all white and goes with anything.

 

When I first met this little girl, she was a shy little baby who crawled along my floors and wouldn’t smile.  And now look at this smiley thing!  She was so silly and sweet.

 

With a formal dress, this background is my favorite.  I just love it, and the colors are neutral enough to go with pretty much anything.  The red really pops against it.  They make such a handsome family.

 

She has such a beautiful smile.

 

Ok, I absolutely love this image.  The colors, the image, but mostly the undiluted joyful spirit that shines though.

 

We also had to get a pretty picture of mommy and her girl, too.
