Naperville Senior Photographer | Chicago Senior Photographer
I had the pleasure of photographing this guy’s older sister a couple years ago, so I was honored that the parents would choose me again to photograph their son’s senior pictures. We knew we wanted to do some really awesome pictures showcasing him with his saxophone. He is in jazz band, marching band, as well as a rock band with his saxophone! So when we talked, I got a picture in my head I wanted to create. The problem with these things is that it is almost always impossible to duplicate what’s in my head. And I wasn’t able to do it this time, either. But in the journey of trying to get that image, I created something else entirely that we all loved!
Besides the music pictures, we wanted to go somewhere outside, but somewhere a bit more masculine than other locations I frequent. I love this place with the stone and everything. On this day, every photographer in the area seemed to be out, too. But we still got our pictures in. We started with this old bridge. I love using a light to create such deep colors.
When he smiled, he lit up the area. He had such a big smile. It was hard for him to actually not smile, but I like to get variety, so he was a trooper to play around with me.
I love the variety of architecture in this location.
And these are definitely my favorite set of stairs. They were full of leaves.
It was such great lighting there.
