Oak Brook Photographer, Naperville Photographer | Family
For the past nine years I have photographed this family. For nine years, I have included their beloved fur baby, Roma. Unfortunately, their sweet Golden Retriever passed away this summer. It was bittersweet to photograph them without her. One of the hardest parts of having a family come year after year is thinking of new spots and things to do with them. Luckily, we hadn’t used this location before, and I really love it. The kids know me so well, that I have to work all the harder to get natural smiles from them. Thankfully, their dad likes to do crazy things behind me to get them laughing and smiling. I have no idea just what he is doing behind my back… perhaps I don’t want to know? LOL
But we had a beautiful day for our session and got to enjoy both the woods and some great stonework. Poor Coleman, every time I do pictures with the three siblings, he gets put in the middle.
I have a great picture of the twins looking at me and smiling, but personally, I love this picture the best. They were totally cracking up at their dad, and I am so happy I captured this moment.
Then of course, we had to get the whole family in there.
It is easy for parents to forget that they should be in pictures, just the two of them. They always want family pictures, siblings, and individuals of the children. But the parents are equally as important.
Speaking of individuals, I made sure to get their individual personalities.
Her baby smiles has gone away with some adult teeth this year.
Their older sister LOVES for me to take her picture. And at nine years old, she is diving full force into tweenhood.
And my favorite set of stairs with the whole family.
