Naperville Photographer, Downers Grove Photographer | Sweet 16
I had the pleasure of photographing this lovely, young lady for her Sweet 16 session. They wanted to do something in downtown Naperville, as well as something sunny and fields. A Sweet 16 session isn’t much different than a high school senior session. It’s only a year shy. They brought a few outfits, and we picked where we wanted to do each of them. I love the champagne coloring of her first outfit. With her skin, it just looks great.
While I go all over downtown Naperville frequently, for some reason, I had never put anyone in front of this beautiful mosaic wall. I have no idea why, because it was perfect! I will definitely be using it again. She wears glasses, and we decided to do some pictures with and some without.
As we were walking, I spotted this little alcove. I LOVE it. We’ve talked before about how much I love monochromatic images – just like this. It is just classic.
Then it was time for a casual outfit change. Better suited for a possibly getting a little dirty.
I love the lighting at this little spot. The water was low, but that’s okay.
Last outfit change and a different location. Ok, so while she was getting changed, her mom and I were talking. And for some reason, it comes up that mom is terrified of snakes. Well, at this location with tall grasses, I have always figured it would be a snake haven, but it has never come up. Yes, you see where this is going, don’t you? As we are walking up the hill to get to where I want, a snake crosses the path in front of us. Mom yells and points it out, so then daughter immediately wants to just leave. I try convincing them that snakes are way more scared of us and will go away from the sound of our footsteps, but daughter is adamantly NOT wanting to continue. Thankfully, I get her to do just a few more. LOL I think I told her to look away and she could be as mad at me as she liked. LOL
Getting her to sit in the grass took some more convincing. She gave me ten seconds. No problem.
She was much happier to be out of the tall grasses. I love this one of her.
