If a company has a website and marketing materials, it’s likely that photography is used to create the look of their business.  Companies have the choice to use stock images that can be used by other companies, or to hire a photographer to take custom images just for them.  It creates a much more personal look into a company, and one that is more designed for their brand.  I was recently asked to photograph onsite at CMT, an engineering company.  I was shown recent images from another photographer done at their Springfield location as a guide to the look they wanted.  Interrupting a place of business does not make engineers thrilled to be photographed. LOL  But they were good sports with me, even if they would have much rather been working.

I would get lighting set up and then tell them to pretend to have a meeting. But I liked this one of them looking at me.  When doing group images for a corporation, you need to think about diversity.  With today’s global mindset, showing a range of employees is important to your clients.

 

I made sure to get individual pictures of the management staff.
