Elmhurst Maternity Photographer, Naperville Maternity Photographer

Most of my maternity clients opt for an in-studio session for those intimate, bare bellied images with the dramatic lighting.  While those seem to be my most popular requests, I love being asked to do a maternity session outside.  It was a decently warm day as we headed outside.  Our weather has been so up and down, you just never know.  And our lovely pregnant lady here was just as cute as she could be.  She was smart and wore comfortable shoes while carrying “nice” ones.  I think that’s a good lesson for all my female clients. Nothing is worse than walking in heels in grass and sinking into it.

These two were so naturally cuddly and cute.  I can’t wait ti get them in with their new baby boy.  Imagine the sweetness!  Until then, enjoy the beauty that is pregnancy.  I love this little island of grass in the water.

 

For maternity sessions, since we want to focus on the belly, I rarely have the woman directly face the camera, as you lose the roundness of her belly, but I absolutely love this picture.  The stripes help show her curves.

 

 

 

 

 

How’s this for some dramatic lighting?  Something different, but I’m loving it.

 

 

It’s hard to choose a favorite out of the bunch!  If you are currently expecting and interested in documenting this wondrous time of your lives with a maternity photography session, we recommend having it between 32-34 weeks.  This way, the belly is nice big, but hopefully the woman has not reached the horribly uncomfortable stage with swelling.
