The last time I saw this family, their little guy was just a baby. Now he’s a toddler and his big sister is three. We had a wonderful morning together with gorgeous weather. We had to make sure we were done in time for them to get back to watch the Bears game. 😉 These two kiddos were just a happy team…as long as I kept them interested in the rocks, sticks, leaves, ducks, etc. Or when they weren’t, thank goodness they were ticklish. 🙂 We had a great time getting some family portraits, as well as some sibling and individual child pictures.
How pretty is this little lady? Sometimes I love capturing those quiet moments in children.
The only way I could get him to stand still was to hand him things to hold – hence the leaf.
I think this is my favorite family picture from the session.
Of course we had to get these two together.
Check out his little smirk. You can just see the glittering mischief in his eyes.
Though my money is on this one for trouble making.
Fall is photographers’ “tax season”, especially around here in Chicago. It is our best season for temperatures and beautiful outdoor venues, so be sure you take advantage for your own family pictures! Don’t let years pass without documenting your family. Years change us all – we get older, wiser, more wrinkles, maybe some grey hairs. Kids get taller. Our families grow, and sometimes shrink. We experience joys, sorrow, successes, and failures. We gain weight, we get fit. All these changes happen, and when we look back, we should look back to see and remember the moments. Don’t wait until life is less stressful, until you lose some weight, until your child gets those braces off. This is who we are right now. Celebrate it.
