The holidays call for new holiday backdrops!  I love when I get to see beautiful Christmas dresses.  They are always so pretty and special.  This eight year old girl came into the studio a couple of weeks ago for her eight year pictures, which just happen to correspond well in timing for holiday portraits, as well.  Her grandmother brought her in, and while she was shy and reserved at first, she quickly warmed up.  She is a ballet dancer and is probably performing in the Nut Cracker as you read this. 🙂  How cool is that!  With her dark hair and fair skin, she was as pretty as can be.  She also was the first to try out some new backdrops.

This first one is not holiday themed, but it was brand new, and I think I will be using it a lot.  I absolutely love the vintage beauty of it.  Timeless.  And she looks gorgeous with it.  This backdrop will be great for girls and women of all ages.

 

 

Then we went lighter.  The gold tones of this vintage backdrop can also lend itself to a holiday feel.

 

 

Then it was time to change into her Christmas dress and go holiday-themed with the pictures.  I personally love these silver and grey toned ones. She looks straight out of a catalog!

 

 

And last, but not least, it was time to get cozy in front of the tree with a roaring fire and presents.  This makes me want to go bake cookies for Santa right now!
