Newborn twins.  One girl, one boy.  These two sweeties were born full term, which is pretty rare!  They were 13 days old when I met them and had this wonderful photo shoot for their newborn session.  One of the reasons I strongly recommend having newborn sessions during the first week of life is that most spouses have taken off work for that first week, which allows us a little more freedom in scheduling.  With this session, mom brought her two babies and dad showed up at the very after work, so we could do the family pictures.

These twins rocked their session – both sweet, even when awake!  Though they usually tag teamed with one being awake while the other slept.

 

The twins’ nursery is nautical themed, so the parents brought this prop and hats to use.  What is really cool, is they also brought the uniform hats – one from each grandfather.

 

We lucked out with these two being sleepy and cuddly at the same time for a bit, allowing us to get these wonderful newborn twin pictures.

 

 

And even though they are twins, it is equally important to always get pictures that focus on them individually.  First up is the sweet big sister.

This last image is one I am very proud of.  It was a creative collaboration using my new moon prop and starry night background.  Of course, it took some creative editing to achieve the final result.  I thought it would be something special for their nautical nursery.  I created the waves and the water by hand for the end result.
