I was very happy to meet this two week old baby.  I was supposed to meet him around 7 days of age, but I got a message the night before our session that they had to take baby James to the ER.  Well, he ended up staying in the hospital for a few days with a fever.  Thankfully, he is fine.  When they were back home and knew he was okay, they rescheduled, but warned me that he was very colicky.  This poor family!

I was prepared for a rough session with a crying baby, but we really lucked out, and he stayed asleep in the beginning, and we were able to get plenty of beautiful pictures.  I say beautiful because really – this baby is seriously beautiful.  He did end up having a 45 minute crying spell, but he calmed enough to end the session with some in the baskets.  All in all – it was a great session.  Parents – never underestimate the soothing comforts of a hot studio, white noise, and space heater. 😉
