Well, twice a year I am faced with nightmare-inducing, sweaty palmed, spine chilling sessions – my own kids.  Yes, taking pictures of my own children is by far the hardest I ever have to work, and easily the most frustrating sessions.  Just as kids act better for teachers than they do their parents, I think the same is true for photographers.  I had been meaning to take my daughter’s four year pictures for over three months now, but just didn’t have time, and with this horrible heat, it wasn’t what I would have hoped.  I had a specific image in mind, which of course didn’t happen.  We only lasted about 10 minutes before she was looking hot and sweaty and I had to call it quits.  My son was also complaining the entire time.  Sigh.

But here is my Brodie-Beans, my little actress, my spitfire of a girl.  My big girl.

 

 

I will say that I love the lighting in these next ones.  She looks a lot like I did at her age.
