Getting asked to do pictures of a beautiful baby girl while also including her big brothers into the session for a few pictures was the heart of this session. With babies around this age, you don’t really know what you’ll get. They may feel shy or grumpy that day. Thankfully, this little sweetheart was sociable and smiley and just cute as can be!

I have this wonderful chair in the studio, and it is easy to add flowers to it to go along with her little tutu.

But she wasn’t always topless. We actually started the shoot with her big brothers, as I had set up the boxes and backdrop prior to them arriving, so we could move quickly. With this age, they don’t last too long before getting tired and grumpy, so I try to move as quickly as possible and have everything ready to go.

I absolutely love this next picture. I have a thing with browns. I just love the tones. Big brother was a champ at holding her safe. Mom stood behind me to get her to smile. Such cuties!

While she was in that dress, I also did some pictures of just her. I am not a photographer who thinks babies or children need to smile for every picture. I, personally, love a serious one where you just fall into their eyes.

But let’s get to a smiley one. LOL. She was little enough to go into this basket that I normally use for newborns and be happy as can be while in there. It was also a nice contrast from the darker set to have something light and bright. I adore those little curly pieces winging away from her ears.

Last, but not least, we did a milk bath! It was my first time doing one, and we nailed it! I don’t know what she thought of it, but mom and I had fun with it, and I loved using this floral bonnet. It’s a piece of art.

All of that within about 45 minutes. Can you believe it?? As long as I know all the planned sets beforehand, I can have things set up and ready to go. If you have ideas, bring them! I love creating new things.
