Beautiful Confidence | Naperville Senior Photographer

I used to feel guilty about being so far behind in my blogging, but I now sort of love it. It’s like opening up a present – a surprise of lovely memories that all come back. If you know me, you know I have a terrible memory for most things.  EXCEPT for visually. Looking at pictures, I remember everything about the session. And I definitely remember being her Oswego Senior photographer.

 

This gorgeous Oswego senior was absolutely stunning, but it wasn’t just on the outside. Her first outfit was this one below. I so love the plaid outfit. She looks like a fashion model. Many times, photographers will say don’t do prints or nothing too busy – but this just goes to show that isn’t always the case because this outfit was fire!

 

She knew who she was, and her confidence is a rare thing to find in a teenager who are usually still figuring themselves out.

 

I tell seniors to have 2-3 outfits and not more because it shouldn’t just be about your outfits. Senior sessions should be about the person. I recommend having different colors and different styles that reflect the different aspects of their personality.

 

My goal as a Naperville senior photographer is to make the senior shine. I do that by picking great location, knowing how to light and edit, but also knowing how to help get their real personalities to shine. This senior wanted two very different looks for her session, so we went urban as well as for open fields with big skies. Finding just the right meadow was key. The problem with most big meadows where there is nothing around is getting to them. For this spot, we had to simply pull over on the side of the road and walk out, as there was no parking lot.

 

For this last one, I remember taking it and saying it looked like a magazine cover. I love the dilapidation. I loved the pile of bricks. This spot is still one of my favorites, but the rubble isn’t there anymore.
