And She’s Off | Naperville Senior Photographer
This Oswego senior is already busy at college playing soccer and kicking butt. But since I’m very behind on blog posts, I get to have fun reminiscing about these sessions. If you have a 2026 senior, it is time to get them scheduled for their senior pictures.
Many parents don’t think about doing senior pictures in the summer before senior year because they aren’t seniors yet, but that isn’t the case. Once school starts, senior year moves FAST. I can’t tell you how many times clients have to keep rescheduling because something comes up.
When we talk, part of my job is helping pick locations that will give your senior the type of pictures they want. For this senior, it was feminine and outdoors.
Usually, I love doing a good mix of serious and smiling. For this senior, her megawatt smile was her natural response, so we did very little serious. But we did a few.
When picking a location, I like spots that will give us variety, so it isn’t just more of the same. It also helps when they change outfits to have them in different surroundings. If you are wondering how many outfits your senior should have for their photoshoot, I recommend only 2-3. If you get much more than that, it become about the clothes more than about the person.
As I said at the beginning, she is currently playing soccer in college, so of course we had to do some athlete pictures. Now, if you follow my work, I definitely have a specific look to my athlete pictures, but she wanted a more natural vibe. So we actually went out on the field for some.
Yes, the summer heat has been horrible, but we can find days that work to get your senior in for their senior pictures. Don’t wait. I promise – you blink, and they are graduating.
