Ten Little Fingers, Ten Little Toes | Chicago newborn photographer

I used to love blogging sessions right after they happened, but somewhere along the way, life got busy, and blogging fell to the wayside. So if you are looking for your own session up on these blog posts, just know I am super far behind! LOL It is fun for me to be reminded of these sessions, especially newborn sessions like with this adorable little guy.

When looking for a Chicago newborn photographer, don’t just look for who is closest. Wedding and newborn pictures are perhaps the single most important photo sessions that can happen. There is no “do over” with a wedding. And with newborns, they change so quickly, that if you don’t capture them in those first few weeks, you can’t get those moments back.

You can’t remember just how small they were. That they were small enough to entirely fit inside daddy’s hands.

When our babies are born. The first thing we ask is, “Are they all right?” Do they have ten fingers and ten toes? And then we spend days, weeks, and months memorizing each little detail. Each eyelash, their fingernails, their ears.

So back to selecting your Chicago newborn photographer. Sorry, my ADD meds must not be working right now. Anyway, while my studio is located in Naperville, my clients come from all over the western suburbs, including the actual city of Chicago. Why?? Well, I think it is because of my style of work. I am not a lifestyle newborn photographer. Instead, I prefer to create pieces of art that are both stunning and can tell a story, like with the above.

During a newborn session, we do family pictures, wrapped pictures, storytelling pieces, simple blanket pictures, and some with props like the above. I have shelves full of props to choose from, so that the final images reflect my clients’ particular aesthetics.

While I don’t do weddings, I get the honor of being the first to photograph as a couple becomes a family. And I get to create pieces of art that will stay up on their walls for years to come.
