What’s up with Headshots?

When you are told you need to get an updated headshot, what do you think of? Do you picture a stark white background or corporate grey?  Yes, normally, I do studio headshots that meet a classic standard corporate headshot need, but that doesn’t mean that is the only type of headshot there is. What else could you do for a headshot? Well, besides the obvious of doing it at different locations, you can also pull back, do casual posing, zoom in, do dramatic lighting. There is more than one way to get a great headshot!

 

From soft and glowy to more lifestyle.

 

And from pulled back to closeup.  I do love an extreme closeup!

 

Or what about not even looking at the camera? Like I said, there are no rules.

 

 

And when selecting what to wear for your headshot, why not have some personality? I love that she wore a bright yellow blazer, so I purposefully balanced it against the pink flowering trees as a lovely contrast of color.

 

Or even going stark with white and black!

 

Finding the right look for your headshots is one of my specialties. Having my studio located in downtown Naperville gives me a lot of options within walking distance, too.
