Naperville Family Photographer

I get some families every year who want an outdoor session when it is cold outside. I’m usually okay with that as long as it is above 25 degrees.  I can wear a coat and hat after all.  On this day, it was chilly, and these poor kids were doing their best to pretend it was warm outside.  You’d never know mom was cold even though she was baring the most skin.  They all looked great! I love it when parents dress up like this.

When doing an outdoor session when its cold, you have to pick locations that still look good even though the leaves are already gone.  I chose Naperville’s riverwalk for this session.  And finding spots that have fir trees in the background give the illusion that is isn’t so cold, as we still see green.

Really, this session was a celebration of their love.  I SO love the tartan pants that both father and son wore.  Being Scottish, myself, I’m a sucker for a good plaid.  And what a great way for a man to get a little pow in the wardrobe.

But it wasn’t JUST the people for this session.  We got to include their furry children, too!  And since everyone was dressed to the nines, it was only fitting that the dogs were also decked out with accessories, themselves.  Why is it that the only dogs who have ever not really liked me during a session have been chihuahuas?

And since we got the grownups by themselves, we had to get the brother and sister together, too.

But let’s get back to the whole family for one more image from their session.
