So last fall, I was contacted by this family who wanted a session of their two teens mostly for their holiday cards. While I do sessions for cards, my goal is always to create images you want on your walls or in an album. It was through some of my athlete work that they had heard of me. They also asked if we could include their Golden Retriever. If you know me, you know dogs are ALWAYS welcome. I’m totally a dog person, to the point I tend to forget about the people. LOL But we started with just the kids.
Now I’ve never heard of a Golden Retriever who didn’t love water. I was nervous about having her sit on the big rock, as I know many dogs who would have been in that water in a second. Who would have thought that this retriever would be afraid of water?? Yes, that’s right! So there were no worries about the pooch getting all wet and muddy. Instead, we had to coax her to even get on the rock. How sweet is she?
Then we left the water for the beautiful field of tall grasses.
The dog was much happier being photographed in the grasses. LOL I love the dog’s expression here – so chilled out.
We also did some individual images of this senior. How handsome is he?
And his little sister who loved the camera. I can’t wait to get her for her senior pictures!
Spring is here, so it is definitely time to schedule some outdoor photography sessions for you and your family before it gets too hot. Firefly Nights Photography loves working with families – from babies and tots to high school seniors to our furry family members. Check out our Galleries sections for more of our work.
