Naperville Newborn Photographer

So, funny story.  I did this family’s maternity session.  They were running late, arrived super stressed out.  As they were leaving, I jokingly said, “Now calm down, so you don’t go into labor!”  Well…they went into labor that night!  Their second son was born the next day – totally healthy.  As an aside, this is why I recommend maternity sessions between 32-34 weeks (less risk of missing the session due to baby coming).  But being a Naperville newborn photographer, I am always ready for the last minute arrivals of unpredictable newborns!  I specifically leave a couple weekday mornings free every week to accommodate them.  And here is the family with their newest addition!

 

Big brother was such a ham and totally adorable.  Since it was getting to be the holiday season, we put together our holiday set for a couple images for cards.  How sweet are these two brothers?  Like baby’s reindeer hat and cuddle doll?

 

Then it was time for just baby pictures.  He was such a squishy guy with huge cheeks!

 

He was such a good baby for me.  I love putting newborns in the nest.

 

I love the oatmeal color against a newborn’s skin.  Clients ask about belly buttons vs umbilical cords.  No, I do not edit our cords.  They show how young the baby is.  It demonstrates the baby is an actual newborn.  That being said, their cords/belly buttons don’t show in most of the images, anyway, but if you REALLY don’t want a cord in your pictures, then know that most newborns tend to lose their around 9 days of age.

 

And grey is probably my favorite color with babies.  Check out those cheeks!  I hope I get to see him again for his 6 month session to see if he is a fat roly-poly, which is my favorite!
