I love photographing athletes, but I especially love photographing dancers. They are body aware and used to performing to their audience, and for a Wheaton senior photographer, it is a dream come true. Of course, it doesn’t hurt when my senior client is such a pretty girl to boot! She came and had her hair and makeup done in studio with my team and then we headed off downtown Naperville to start our session with a little bit of edge.
Such a pretty girl!
Then we went to another location for some prettier landscape. I love this brick wall. It looks perfectly collegiate, doesn’t it? It is great to get variety in the session – from headshots to full body to active to posed.
And then it was time for an outfit change into something sweet and into the fields we went.
Then we went back to the studio to do some dance pictures. These are perhaps my very most favorite dance pictures I’ve ever done. Colored chalk makes for a dynamic image.
And this one, I love the strength and beauty here, the flowing of fabrics and hair. I’ve used this image for print competition this year.
Her favorite color was blue, so we grabbed one of my maternity fabrics and let her twirl and spin. How great is this image, considering there is no photoshopping done.
If you are looking for Naperville’s best senior photographer, we hope you check out Firefly Nights Photography! We work with clients all over Chicago, especially the western suburbs. Whether your senior is an athlete, an introvert, a musician, a book lover, or whatever, we love creating sessions that reflect their personality and that they enjoy.
Of course, we do more than internationally award-winning senior portraits. We do maternity and newborn, babies and children, and families, as well.
