Hinsdale dog Photographer | Pets are Family

We all know that I love dogs.  I happily consider myself a dog photographer and include dogs with family pictures or do an entire dog session.  And as part of this, it has been my heartbreaking task to also document the end of their journey, as well.  The absolute worst part about being a dog owner is having to say goodbye.  If we are lucky, we get many great years with our fur babies, but their short lives always come too soon.  This family had received bad news about the health of their beloved Golden Retriever and wanted to have some family pictures with him before he was gone.  These sessions are so emotionally difficult.  But the task was made lighter by their three wonderful children.  Toddlers are always good for a distraction.  So on this day, I was a Hinsdale dog photographer.

This sweet pup still looked  like a puppy, even in his old age.  You would never know he was sick here.

The poor dog just wanted to be left alone, but he managed to give me some smiles, too.

We also went outside and did some pictures of just the family.  The dog had had enough by then and just wanted to sleep.  They had a gorgeous little area to the side of the house that was perfect for some individual pictures.  To get this natural smile, I think I asked if he had a girlfriend. LOL

Such a handsome crew, right?

And this little one was a little stinker. LOL  But we got her happy at the end.

And I insisted we do a quick couple picture, as well.  I’m so glad we did, as they look adorable! The blues look great against the dark greens of grass and trees.
