Naperville Photographer | Extended Family Photography
One of my favorite things is to photograph extended families with multiple generations. This one was unique in that we had both sets of grandparents! See the couple standing on the far left? This is their family, with their children, his parents, her parents, and her siblings and their families. I love that they were all dressed up. This location is one I use a lot for larger groups, as I love the giant fallen log for posing, as well as the stairs by the bridge. It was a brisk, early morning, but this was back before it was super cold. What a handsome group, huh?
Now this is the entirety of one side of the family. The kids were great. The little boy on the far right was originally super shy, but he did wonderfully, as long as he could stay by his daddy. Later, I was told they were so impressed that I got him to smile, as he never does for pictures. Win!
And then the other side of the family. Grandparents are always great at getting the kids to smile.
This couple are newlyweds! They had recently gotten married in a small affair, but never had pictures, so I made sure to take a bunch of just them.
Then we had the cousins together. They obviously loved to be together. They were such silly kids. And the big sister did a great job holding her baby brother.
And then one more of the whole group up on the stairs. With the runners wanting to go through here, we had to be quick.
