Naperville Senior Photographer, Chicago Senior Photographer

Four years ago, I photographed a gorgeous thirteen year old.  In fact, I used one of her images for countless advertising promotions.  When her mom contacted me for her senior pictures, I was thrilled to get to see her again!  I was not at all surprised to learn that this Naperville Central High School senior now does some professional modeling.  She came to the studio and used my hair and makeup team to create her look, and then off we went.  She gives the best serious look ever, and I can see why the camera loves her.  I had to tease her and remind her that we wanted her to smile, too.  She was so used to giving her serious look, that it took the reminder that we wanted her happy, to get that beautiful smile.

We had a gorgeous day, and both mom and dad came along, which was great to be able to have dad be my voice activated lighting assistant. 😉  We started off in a field with this nude colored dress.   With the sun behind her and my light in front, it made for a dreamy scene.

Then she changed into something more casual, and we played around with the barn.  This “the look” she gives for the camera.

Now, to get a big smile, nothing worked better than getting some pictures with her beloved pup – a pug named Pickle.  I couldn’t love that name more for this tiny pug.

Then it was time for some dark and moody lighting and editing.  This isn’t right for everyone, but it certainly was for her.

Lastly, she put on a black dress, and we did lots, but with this last image, I loved her pose and expression so much but found the background distracting, so I created this one from scratch all by myself.  Personally, I love it!  It has a bit of magic to it.  The sun provided the rim lighting to the left with my light to the right.

During one of her outfit changes, I also had fun photographing Pickle.  LOL
