We were supposed to have an outdoor session with this lovely family, but it was raining on our day.  There was no chance to reschedule because the oldest son was going to be moving out of town the next week, so we really had no choice – it was now or never.  It was the perfect time for family pictures, as they are at a transition.  By the time I write this post, their son has moved far away.  So the perfect time – just wish it had been the perfect weather.  When they arrived, it was dark out, but the rain had paused.  We decided to go the one block down to the river walk and the covered bridge.  I literally take three pictures when the rain starts again!  There was a wedding party having their pictures outside, too.  I felt so bad that they were caught out in that.  We did some pictures and tried to wait a bit for a break in the rain, but it never came.  So the dad and one of the boys took off their tops (they had udershirts) for mom and the sister to hold over their heads, and we RAN.  And I mean we ran.  I was totally out breath when we reached the studio.  Thankfully, we were also all laughing.  Quite the memorable experience for them, I’m sure. LOL

Here’s some from the bridge.

I love this one of the parents.

It looks like it was a bright, sunny day, but it was not.  Lies.

Then it was time for being in studio.  I love doing some fun posing with families.  They are such a good looking group.

Mom wanted a picture of her and the kids.  We did one on the bridge, and she started tearing up.  Her babies, even grown, will always be her babies.

Farewell and good luck to their oldest!  I hope he is doing great!  And thank you to the G Family for letting me be part of their lives for a short time.  They were wonderful people.
