Naperville Photographer, Hinsdale Photographer

Doing pictures at someone’s home is always a bit nerve wracking for me.   When I haven’t been to someone’s house and yard, I don’t know what I’m walking into. What the lighting will be.  People don’t usually think about the light – they just think of their nice backyard, but if it’s got the wrong light, it can be unusable.  So when I arrived at this client’s home, I was relieved to find some shade, but better than that, a great fence.  Full shade is always my preference.  If not, then the light must be behind the subjects with consistent lighting (meaning no dappled light or random shadows on people).

While these two may look like they could be twins, they aren’t.  She is actually older, even though he is already taller.

He had the longest, blondest eyelashes I have ever seen.  They were so thick, too!

Like I said, awesome fence!

They also wanted some pictures with their much beloved pet bunny, Snowball.

You can tell how much he loves that bunny, can’t you?  The poor bunny was probably not nearly as thrilled, but that’s okay. He got to romp outside in his enclosed area for awhile, too.

Then it was time for a change and to go indoors because mom wanted some pictures to use for Christmas cards.  Her green goes nicely between the two reds.

I didn’t pose this one, so when the boy did it, I loved it and had him do it again.  I love pictures with people laughing.  To me, this sums up this family – lots of chaotic laughter and love.

Firefly Nights Photography may be a studio, but that doesn’t mean we don’t also love to go on location.  We love photographing outdoors.  If you are interested in a session, please contact us for more information.
