I love it when I photograph families over and over.  I get to feel like an distant relative, seeing them on special occasions, witness to them growing up.  I am an observer and documentarian to their childhood.  I am blessed and honored.  Now, I’ve gotten to know this family quite well over the years and always enjoy our time together.  The last time (six months ago), their middle child was extremely shy and just hated having his pictures taken.  Eventually, he warmed up. We were hoping he had outgrown this, but alas, he had not.  Thankfully, I got threw to him much quicker, but it definitely took some effort.

Getting a five year old, three year old, and 18 month old to get together at the same time and look at the camera should be an Olympic event.  Seriously.  🙂  Thankfully, the big sister is as sweet as pie and loved to do whatever I asked while her rapscallion brothers ran amok.

He was still in his shy stage at this point, refusing not to be held.  But he did agree to look at me…like this. LOL

And this little guy is getting so big!  I swear, he will be as big as his big brother next time.

And what’s this?  Just chaotic silliness.  LOL  They were having so much fun together.  Like I said, getting them to sit still just wasn’t going to happen.  But parents, enjoy who your children are – who they really are.  And most likely, they are crazy. So let them be that.
