Happy birthday, baby!  Yes, I got to help this adorable little redhead celebrate her first birthday!  Firstly, you know I love me some gingers.  🙂  What can I say?  We got to stick together!  This was my first time meeting this little dumpling, and she couldn’t have been sweeter.  Once upon a time, I used to hate the color pink because with my red hair and very pink cheeks, I thought I couldn’t wear it. Now I know that redheads should embrace pinks and reds.  We can rock them!  Well, this little one certainly can, don’t you agree?

With those deep brown eyes and super fair skin, she just glows.

At one point, I asked her, “Where’s your belly button?”  This was the answer I got. LOL

Can you believe this family has never had a picture of them all together?!  Well, it’s about time!  Check out that belly laugh.

Don’t you just want to kiss those cheeks?  Or maybe nibble on them…just a bit?

Then, you know, I love my naked baby time on the bed.  Such creamy dreaminess.

Then it was time for some clapping.  I love at this age that if you clap, babies tend to start clapping, too.  Or just yell, “YAY!”

At the end of the session, we did a smash cake.  I always tell clients that if they want to do a smash cake, we want good pictures.  So to help facilitate that, babies should be exposed to cake prior to the session. In reality, most babies are very tentative and delicate with their first taste of cake.  They don’t really get into it. But after that first time, when they see cake, they know, “Oh!  I love that stuff!”  At least, that is the hope.

I love the blue against her skin and pink tutu.  And you know we’re at the end of eating cake when the feet go in it.
