Spring 2016 has certainly been fully of newborn babies!  I love it!  Each newborn is a little different – from their temperament to their physicality in posing.   I always enjoy getting my baby fixes in with them, though.  Since I’ve been working with newborns for a long time, I am a pro and usually offer to soothe them when they get fussy.  I think this may just be my ploy to get extra baby cuddles.  But who can resist such cuteness??:)

It was great to meet this new family and welcome their baby son.  He was 12 days old when I had the pleasure of meeting him.  I always start with family pictures since it is so hot in the studio.  And I always love intimate pictures of the baby individually with each parent.  Don’t they look so sweet?  Some parents don’t really want to be in the pictures, but I highly recommend it.  You won’t remember these early days, and the babies grow so quickly, you won’t remember just how small they were.

 

And then of course, we had to have mom and her boy.  When we got him placed, he raised his hand to touch her.  So sweet!

And then it was time to do some of just the baby.  Isn’t he just beautiful??

He was awake for going in my colorful bucket, but we still got him calm enough to get this.

Then he was awake, but so very alert!  Can you believe how he looked straight at the camera and gave me a smirk?  What a great closeup!
