Naperville Senior Photographer, Wheaton Senior Photographer | Old Hollywood
I almost forgot to blog this amazing session! So I photographed this senior girl a couple years back with her two younger sisters. Then I saw the whole family again this past winter at my Christmas mini-sessions. She is a 2016 Naperville senior, and when we talked, we wanted something dramatic and both thought a snow session would be perfect for her. Well, we had a crappy winter in terms of snow fall. The one decent snowfall we got, I wasn’t available at that specific time. So winter passed into spring, and we really needed to get her session done. Well, I think we rescheduled two to three times before we get to this day. Forecast is for sunny and nice. That morning, it is slightly windy, but not terrible. Get to two hours before her session, it is pretty darn windy, but she is already getting her hair and makeup done. And mom and I were both in agreement that we didn’t want to have to reschedule yet again. It is REALLY windy now. I tell mom to tell the hairdresser to pull all the hair back and use lots of bobby pins. 😉
Well, you would never know how crazy windy it was on out day, would you? I believe the winds were registering at 27 mph. I also had my strobe light with me, which mom had to hold with all her might, so it didn’t blow away. LOL I absolutely love her old Hollywood style.
No, those candles were not really lit at that time. There is no way with winds like that to have them lit. So a little PhotoShop magic to finish the image.
We also wanted a couple with some real drama. And if you follow my work, you now I have a thing for red.
With the crazy winds, I had her just try to catch some like a sail.
Then we walked to some “prettier” images.
And a change of outfits. Okay, normally, I would not be a fan of a denim jumper. But really? She totally rocked this outfit!
If you have a 2016 senior, don’t miss out on getting their senior pictures taken! And if you have a 2017 senior, it is time to start getting them scheduled for their pictures, too. Firefly Nights Photography has been named Naperville’s Best Photographer for the past five years and has won an international image competition for our teen work.
