I was prepared for this session to be tough. Bring two dogs (one just a puppy) and add a high energy boy, and we had the makings for a lot of chaos, but it was awesome. First off, their son was awesome. No, sorry, let me rewrite that – he was AWESOME. He was such a joyful character and had me cracking up, which he loved to do. Dogs are always a little tricky. The little one is getting old, and the bulldog is only a puppy, though she’s a big girl. My parents have bulldogs, so I am used to them, and I have to say, this girl was surprisingly well behaved for one so young. Heck, for one at all! We couldn’t fully trust her to not run off.
We had a beautiful day for our session, and I’m so glad that everyone cooperated to make for some great pictures.
It was nice to get a father and son picture. (We also did mom and her boy, as well)
Like I said, he was cracking us both up! LOL
I think I was wrangling dogs and my camera at this point.
A boy and his furry pals. Getting the bulldog to sit on the step was quite the feat since she barely fit.
Can you believe this was a single shot with everyone looking right at me? A miracle!
He was rewarded at the end of the session with being able to climb this tree because he had been so good.
I love including our furry family members in family pictures. If you would like to include your dogs with a session, just be sure to let me know, so I can pick dog-friendly locations.
We hope you will consider choosing Firefly Nights Photography for your family pictures – whatever the need may be – from maternity to high school seniors and everything in between.
