Believe it or not, I don’t actually photograph many people I know in real life (as in I know them before they become clients).  This family I not only know, but our daughters play soccer together.  When I was editing, my girl came over and said, “Hey, that’s Lia!” LOL  So I’m doubly flattered that they chose me to photograph their awesome family.  They had originally signed up for my red couch mini sessions but had to cancel due to their oldest daughter’s schedule.  They opted for a full family session, but I still brought along the red couch since they had wanted that in the first place.  I’m sure we got some odd looks carrying the couch over to this spot.

We were blessed with another great day, though pretty windy.  Really, we have had a tremendous autumn in terms of weather with so many nice days.  No one needed to sneak on a coat in between takes like we had done in the past years.

What’s the difference between using lights versus natural light?  Well, the above ones with the red couch used the light, and below is natural light.  Neither is right or wrong – but it is nice to be able to show different styles.  I love the pose here.

While big sister has those beautiful brown eyes, little sister gets her mom’s baby blues.

The girls aren’t too old to cuddle.  There won’t be too much time left before they are too big for this.

Can you tell how much of a ham she is? LOL  She can’t help but give huge smiles all the time.

What a fun day we had together!  I’m so blessed to have so many great family clients.  They make the fall so great for me.
