Red Couch Mini Sessions (Part 1) | Naperville Photographer
I can’t believe this is my fifth annual red couch mini sessions!! I have been doing these since 2010, and they continue to be a big hit every year. This year, we moved up our mini sessions from November to early October, so it would be warmer. Every day, I watched the weather, which couldn’t decide if it would rain or not. Thankfully, we had a dry, gray day, which worked perfectly for me. We were able to get all 18 families photographed, and no one froze. By having a totally overcast day, I was able to have the couch face out toward where the sun would be, making this beautiful setting. By adding a large light, we could make it look nice and sunny.
Here is a sampling from our lovely day. These are a big hit because who doesn’t love getting family pictures, and being done in only 15 minutes? 🙂
I love when clients return. These three siblings are always crazy fun. I felt so bad, though, because the oldest daughter was seriously allergic to something in the area, and her eyes were badly itching and swelling.
These three sisters are a blast. I’m looking forward to doing the one on the right’s senior pictures next month!
I’ve been photographing this family since they brought me their first son for his newborn pictures. It was great to see everyone so happy and smiley.
This little glittery girl was full of mischief and silliness. She was a new client, and I hope I get to see her again!
I haven’t seen this family since their boy was a newborn. It was crazy how much the kids have grown and changed!
It’s been year or two since I first photographed this beautiful girl. She’s just a natural.
I have photographed this family a few times. But this time, their little girl was not sure she was up for this. Thankfully, she warmed up and was smiling big for us.
I always love these two sisters. They always have the best outfits!
And to wrap up the first half of the red couch mini-sessions, we end with this awesome family who I get to see every year. This time, they have an addition to the family – an awesome goldendoodle who couldn’t take a bad picture if he tried. LOL
It isn’t too late to get awesome family pictures. I can handle colder temperatures – can you? 😉 Tall grasses can be used all winter, so don’t fear.
