Every year, I ask clients and fans to vote for Firefly Nights Photography as Naperville’s Best Photographer. I offer a contest where people can submit their proof of voting to enter a drawing to win a totally free session. Thank you to all who voted and helped me be named 2015 Best Photographer! This year, this lovely family won the contest! With four boys – one of whom was overtired and not in the mood for pictures, one a bit of mischief, one a baby, and one with Down Syndrome – I am thrilled we got such great pictures of everyone together. 🙂
We went to my woodsy area which is usually a good spot for boys – as they can check out the ducks in the river, throw some rocks in, and keep an eye out for wildlife.
I was losing them quickly with the boys being tired, so we let loose with some fun. This got some smiles out of them.
Someone broke free and came for me. I love this one.
Then it was time for a race. When kids have a hard time focusing or doing what I want, I’ve been known to ask them to run sprints. They think it’s fun.
After the running, they were ready for some family cuddle time.
I didn’t actually plan this one. The two older boys were pushing on mom and dad – and I love the structure here.
At the end of a session, sometimes there are no smiles left. But it doesn’t mean they are not still great pictures.
It was so nice meeting this family and their crew. If you are looking for a family photographer in the western suburbs of Chicago, we hope you will consider Firefly Nights Photography. Our studio is located in downtown Naperville, but we also love outdoor sessions, especially this time of year.
