One year olds.  They are fully mobile now – constantly on the go, be it crawling or walking – and so curious about everything.  They’ve completed their first year of life and are on the edge where they transition from being a baby to being a toddler.  At this age, we also start to get the toddler attitudes – where they feel what they feel, and there’s not much you can do about it. 😉  This little guy came to the studio recently to celebrate his first birthday.  Unfortunately, he wasn’t happy in studio no matter what we did.  So then we walked down to the river walk.  Sometimes being outside makes all the difference.  There were plenty of distractions (ducks and doggies) which quickly got him interested and happy.  Thank goodness!

The rails on this bridge are at the perfect height for little bodies.  Just high enough to let them look over, but not fall over. 😉

 

 

And there’s that smile.

 

This little guy loved to make this face.  I had to show it because it just cracks me up.  Little David Bowie, maybe? LOL

 

After some fresh air, we went back to the studio, and thankfully, he was in a much better mood.

 

 

Last, we got out his little cake for a smash cake session.  What was funny, if you can see enough in these pictures, is that he was smiling one moment and crying the next.  It made me laugh.  He would let out a cry and then eat, cry and suck the frosting off his fingers. LOL  Yes, life as a baby model is certainly rough.  Smiles and cake!
