Naperville Photographer | Conceptual Composite Photography

So, I wanted to try my hand at some more conceptual composite photography.  I had something in my head to try and knew just the kids to do it – my best friend’s twins.  Now, in my head, I had a different boat – but it was surprisingly hard to find something I wanted.  This wasn’t ideal, but oh well.  Also in my head, he was either shirtless in jeans or in jean overalls.  Coleman was NOT okay with this idea. LOL  In my head, the picture was a little different, but I’m still very happy with the end result.  So the idea was this five year old boy being everything a boy should be – being boyish with his newspaper hat, pretending to sail, etc – all imagination and adventure….and trailing behind him, motoring on his own energy is his twin sister, just soaking up the sun and along for the ride.  If you knew these twins, you would also know that just laying around and letting her brother do the work is also totally appropriate for her. LOL

Now, in my head, it was just the two twins – much like this.  I totally love her look at him.

But their big sister was not about to let them get all the attention and a photo shoot with out her.  Mom told me, and I agreed I could make it work.  And hence, we created this next image with all three siblings.

Now, if you would like to see how I created these images, you can see the below original shots.  It is a lot of fun to create these completely original story-telling pictures through composites.  I’m sure I’ll continue to do these every now and then as I get ideas that I want to try.  I already have another one in my head…. 😉
