Ah, newborn babies.  There’s nothing like their tiny fingers and toes, the way they cuddle up to your neck, or the funny sounds they make.  This little guy came to me at ten days old.  He was still so very tiny.  He was born just a bit over six pounds, so he was tiny. Big brother wasn’t so interested in holding him for pictures, but we were able to get this great family picture – the first picture of them as a family of four.

 

After that, big brother was off! LOL  My studio location makes it convenient for dads to take older siblings out for some one-on-one time while I work with the baby.  We’ve got the great library across the street, feeding ducks at the riverwalk, heading to Anderson’s Bookstore to play with Thomas the Train, or one of the many restaurants to get a snack.

Mom looked amazing, I thought.  And she looks so beautifully happy here.

 

Every newborn of every skin tone looks wonderful against cream.  It just makes them look angelic and innocent.

 

Speaking of angelic, she asked if angel wings were too feminine.  I have other wings that are definitely meant for baby girls, but these wings work for boys, I think.  Just because he is a boy doesn’t mean he isn’t mommy’s little angel.

 

This is always one of my favorite setups.  Love the colors in it.

 

 

Speaking of color, I always ask parents to choose a blanket with some color, as well.  This orange is so vibrant and cheery.  And I love seeing his foot like this.

 

He was perfectly posed for me in this basket, which is always one of my favorites.  You couldn’t have asked for a better one.

 

Last was a set up I haven’t done in a long time, but I love the way it turned out with the green wrap coordinating perfectly with the green of the moss against the rustic floor.
