Naperville Photographer, Elmhust Photographer | The Girls
Originally, I was asked to do a mother/daughter session, then it was expanded to include their beloved dog. And then they also decided to include the grandmother. LOL So this session evolved into one of all the girls. I always love doing multi-generational sessions. 🙂 The daughter is anything but a girly girl. She would much prefer playing her video games than being fussed over. And while she was not thrilled with having to have her picture taken, she warmed up and ended up having some fun. Of course, it was hard not to smile when their puppy was licking them. LOL At a year old, she was still very much a puppy, but really well behaved.
This next one had me laughing because the daughter did NOT like being touched, so both mom and grandma enjoyed tormenting her and getting really close. LOL Sometimes you just have to break through people’s bubbles.
While I worked with her, I let her know that I totally want to photograph her for her senior pictures in a couple years, so to think of some cool ideas for me. If she keeps with the same interests (Anime, etc), I think we could have a really cool and unique senior session.
When is the next time you have all the generations gathering together? You should consider hiring a professional photographer for those times, as you never know when everyone will be together again. And these are memories being passed down. They are important to remember not just the children, but the parents, the grandparents, even great-grandparents. Firefly Nights Photography is located in downtown Naperville and provides all portrait needs – maternity, newborn, baby, child, high school senior, family, and even athlete sessions. And we always welcome pets to be included in your pictures, though a discussion has to happen before hand to make it as easy as possible.
