Naperville Family Photographer, Hinsdale Photographer | Rainy Day

I had this session on the books for weeks.  They needed a weekend, and originally, it was forecasted to be sunny and nice.  Well, the morning of, it was super dark.  They wanted me to photograph them in their backyard.  I hadn’t packed my studio lights to bring or anything.  So, on the drive, I check the weather – it says partially cloudy.  It still says “partially cloudy” as it begins to rain!!  Ugh.  I pull up to their house as it is raining.  We were faced with the question – wait it out a bit, try for some indoor pictures, or reschedule like a month later when it will definitely be cold.  We decided to try some indoor pictures, and by the time we finished with them, the rain had stopped enough to go outside.

The last time I saw this family, mom was pregnant with the baby.  She is so very fair skinned, that she glows!  Their staircase comes toward the front entryway, so we got them set, and then I opened the door behind me to bring in more light, as it was too dark inside to photograph without extra lighting.

 

 

 

 

And while the ground was wet, nothing a blanket couldn’t handle.  They already had the pumpkins and hay bale there – a perfect setting.

 

 

 

 

Lastly, we went out front.  There is a small creek running through the front yards of the street, and their neighbor has this beautifully constructed area which we got to use.  I mean, it is gorgeous, isn’t it??
