So during my marathon day of mini-sessions (see last two blog posts), I felt my voice going through the day.  By night, my voice was completely gone – 100% laryngitis.  I don’t think I’ve lost my voice to that degree before, and of course, I had a session the very next day.  I texted the client to warn them that I would be unable to speak, but that we would make it work.  Little did I know that the dad is an ENT doctor – so he gave me some tips.  Because I couldn’t talk, I brought along my lovely husband to be my voice.  Well, that was the plan, at least.  Instead of directing and being me, he and the dad chatted it up the whole time. LOL  The mom and I just rolled our eyes at them, but it was funny.  And it was also a beautiful day for our session.  Seriously, this is one of my all time favorites in terms of gorgeous family photography.  Love everything about it – the posing, the lighting, the setting, the colors.  Of course, it doesn’t hurt that the family is made up of beautiful people, both inside and out.  🙂

Ok, this next one is now one of my all time favorite family portraits.  I totally love this soooooo much!  Sigh. I’m jealous, in fact, that I don’t have one like this of my family at these ages.

Well, my husband did hit it off with the daughter when in the field.  We had a left over honker from my son’s birthday party. Imagine the most annoyingly loud honking toy.   There is a reason it was in my car and not my home.  She loved it….she loved it enough that we sent it home with her.  You’re welcome! LOL

I don’t know, this may be a favorite, too. I love the daughter’s expression as she squeezes her mommy.

We ended the session with just mom and dad.  Love it.

So many cuddles and laughs during this session.  It was truly a wonderful experience, though I don’t think I will be hiring my husband any time soon. 😉  Thankfully, my lovely singing voice has returned, so no worries.
