Fall Mini-Sessions Part 1 | Naperville Photographer
I have been very fortunate. I have offered fall colors mini-sessions for many years, and it is always a risk that we will have bad weather. It is October in Chicago, after all. 😉 But, knock on wood, I have continued to have good weather for my fall colors mini-sessions, even though the day before was raining and cold and windy. Trust me, we were all watching the weather closely. This was also a new record for me. In the past, I allotted for 10 minutes in between sessions. This time, I had no gaps – no buffer between clients. Therefore, I was able to smash through 18 mini-sessions in a single day. Phew! Thank goodness for my wonderful assistant to help get kids smiling by throwing leaves on me. LOL With 18 families, I can’t believe that we had great sessions with every single one of them, which can be hard when kids aren’t allowed much of a warm up time before having to be happy, but good fortune was on our side. It is even more outstanding considering we had a couple of special needs kiddos – but I have seen them several times before, so they know me. In fact, most of my mini clients are repeat offenders this year. 😉
This is a sampling from the first half of my day.
Fall is the equivalent to tax season for a photographer. Everywhere I go, people with cameras photographing families and children in the autumn colors. It is always my craziest time of year, and it is finally coming to a close – back to a more normal work and family life. At least once I catch up with all these sessions to edit!
