Downers Grove Newborn Photographer, Naperville newborn photographer

I first had the pleasure of photographing this family when they had their first daughter for her newborn pictures.  Then just a couple of months ago, I got to do a family session with them before they expanded their family from three to four.  Their little girl has the biggest smile and is just utterly beautiful.  Sometimes it is hard for the older siblings when they are only toddlers during the newborn session.  Newborn sessions are long – at least three hours – and that is a long time for a young child to behave.  I usually recommend that dads take them out on walks or to the library, out to eat, or whatnot, just so they don’t get too bored.

Baby Lila was sweet as could be and so little!  She was just barely six pounds. We also got to test out my brand new vintage grey chair.  I’m in love with it!  Our little girl here was super hungry during our session.  This is why I tell moms to either bring a couple of extra bottles or to plan on nursing more than normal.  Modeling must build up the appetite. 😉

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

If you are planning a newborn portrait session with Firefly Nights Photography, be sure to plan on staying awhile.  🙂 Also be prepared to sweat, as I turn up the heat to 80 degrees during these sessions to help keep the babies calm and sleepy.  I am not actually shooting for the full three hours, a lot of time is spent feeding and soothing the babies.  But at least my studio is super comfortable to hang out in.
