Naperville Senior Photographer, Downers Grove Senior Photographer | Changes
I was so very honored that this client drove her high school senior 4.5 hours just for our session! All the way from Michigan. I think this is actually my second Michigan senior. It was also a very special trip because it was her birthday, and after her photo shoot, they were going into the city to go to dinner and shopping. It was a randomly nice winter day, so we were able to walk around downtown Naperville, and even take a fun break with some cupcakes. Her mom and younger sister joined us on our adventure.
So as I work, I talk and get to know people, and I have to share this brave girl’s story. In her sophomore year, she was a cheerleader, and a base. During practice, she was holding a girl up, and that girl fell on top of her – they both cracked their heads and sustained brain injuries. Since that time, this poor girl suffers from chronic migraines – as in she never experiences a time when she doesn’t have a headache. She can no longer attend classes and must attend online due to the lighting. As we were walking, I asked if she was in much pain then. She rated her pain a 6 out of 10 and said that was pretty standard. I cant’ imagine living in constant pain for almost 2 years. You would think that would turn her into a very sullen and grouchy person, but she was nothing but smiles and joy. Seriously! Since the accident, she also struggles sometimes with recalling words and experiences numbness in her extremities with slight temperature changes. All because of one accident. 🙁
I hope I can bring a little more sunshine to her smile with these gorgeous pictures.
We had to get some sibling pictures while we were at it:
And stop for some sugary goodness:
